Daily cleaning - its the only way.
Not at all. Some could technically be considered medium-sized dogs.
One has white socks (Ash), the other has white pants (Brock). Brock is also longer than Ash, and Ash has pointy ears while Brock's ears flop over.
We foster dogs from the City of Mobile Animal Services. Don't live in Alabama but love one of our fosters? You can still apply to adopt them, no matter what state you live in! We will happily transport our fosters if it means they get a loving home (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).
Partly that's just their temperament, partly that's the environment created at Drummond Dog House. We try to remain patient, calm, and consistent with how we behave even if the day to day schedules may change. Dogs don't have words to communicate, so it's important to pay attention to each dog's signals about when they do or don't like something or when they are starting to feel stressed, angry, or hurt. We also take steps to avoid common stressful situations - for example, we separate dogs during meal times because we know some of our dogs can get possessive of their (or others) food.
Our dogs, those that make up the dog crew and fosters alike, come from shelters. We do not take in dogs from organizations or people we do not know. If you have a dog that needs a home, please reach out to your local shelter(s) or dog rescue(s) in your own area. Also, please spay and neuter your dogs!
