The first twin, Ash has a lot of opinions and would like you to know all of them. He believes you can make friends by yelling at them and punching them, and is highly offended when this does not always work. Ash loves butt scratches and does big stomps of appreciation for them. He also loves to give kisses, especially when we are coming home or he gets very excited about something.
The second and larger twin, Brock's picture should be in the dictionary under "nervous." He is the largest of our dogs and is afraid of things such as his reflection and Cody cooking. He loves to play with younger dogs and tries really hard to make himself small for little dogs. Brock also loves when we fill up a bucket or the kiddie pool outside, as he likes to "wash" his front paws while he's playing.
Misty is the second oldest of our dogs and the only confirmed cruelty/neglect dog we have. Misty loves all people and sleeping on every comfy surface she can find. She particularly loves napping in bedrooms, meaning she tends to get photographed less than the other dogs. Only afraid of thunderstorms, Misty likes to pretend she is the calmest dog we have. Misty is lying - she is the fastest dog we have and can easily jump much higher than you'd expect.
Joy lives up to her name and is happy to meet any person she comes across. She may be a bit shy at first, but that doesn't stop her from asking for belly rubs. Her favorite past times are napping in chairs, wandering around our backyard to find new places to dig, and sitting outside in the rain. She tries to live up to the "lab" part of her.
We could call Eden anything because Eden is deaf - the ears are purely decorative. Eden does have a name sign she knows, and is surprisingly quite good at playing with others and watching for their response. Eden loves being loved and will happily, somewhat gently, move another dog out of her way to get more pets.
Trevor LOVES to give hugs! He's probably close in age to the other boys, although he is the smallest out of all our dogs. He is convinced he is a lapdog and loves to cuddle up on or next to people's chests when he is ready for a nap. He also plays well with every dog he meets - he really loves big dogs, and tries his best to understand puppies. They still confuse him.
How did Athena Beana get here? We couldn't stand to see her placed and returned again, and Brock is over the moon to have his favorite dental patient back. Athena is our smallest and oldest of the pack, and has very impressive jumping abilties. She has made an amazing recovery from where she started when we got her in January and continues to thrive to this day!
Our youngest addition to the dog crew, Dixie stands out with her two different eye colors and her ability to learn new things quick! She loves all things water and is almost fully past the teething stage - this little girl still has some growing left to do. She can be quite independent but always gets her daily love and snuggles - she thrives off attention and love, with a little bit of puppy mischief thrown in.
